ਡਿਪਟੀ ਚੇਅਰਮੇਨ

Gurvinder Singh Dhamija
Deputy Chairman,
Haryana Punjabi Sahitya Academy.

About Myself

Born and brought up in a village Kachhwa near Karnal, where we have our family agriculture land. I belong to an honourable Arora Sikh Family who migrated from Khanewal (Undivided India). I am happily married and blessed with two children. I am a product of Sainik Sachool, Kunjpura. I am a man of discipline, dedication and determination. I believe in sincerity & integrity.

Was moved by the deteriorating law and order condition in the country. To awaken the people to observe rules and regulations, I believe in the dictum “better individual, better community”. That's why I started organising seminars, meetings, and debates from time to time not only in schools and colleges but also in urban and rural areas for creating awareness among the masses. I forcefully urge them to become better citizens for the sake of the nation. Most of the population of India lives in villages, so the uplift of the ruralites is the uplift of country.

Women emancipation is very essential to make them self-confident and self-reliant. Moreover, the fair sex is an easy target of exploitation by the anti-social elements.. Female Foeticide had also taken a horrible shape. The Slogan, “SAVE THE GIRLS AND EDUCATE THE GIRLS” shall be given a practical shape by all of us. I am fully devoted to the cause of women because if a mother is educated and cultured, the children will automatically be civilised and cultured. “Law & Order situation is also directly proportionate to the upbringing of Girl Child”.

My Interests

The object of my life is social awakening. I want to remove the social shackles and liberalize people from the hardships of social customs. I have a good communicative skill in English, Hindi & Punjabi and have a good convincing power. I am religiously attached to the tenets of ‘Banda Singh Bahadur’ and I convey the message of brotherhood to every community. I have a good social circle of all walks of life, Educationist, Businessmen, Social & Common Masses also.

Social Awakening

I am a good organiser of Political/Social & Religious meetings and have personal links/in touch with Political, Social & Religious personalities. I have taken up many mega projects in my life.
